Jørgen designed the set of eight kites in 1997. They were just not quite ready in time for the Jammerbugten (Blokhus) event in Denmark. The sails were re-made by Martin Lester in 2015.

Cervia 20th April - 1st May 2024
The weather for the first day at Cervia was forecast to be difficult but we did get a good fly with the 1997 Jørgen Møller Hansen design Rev 1.5 sails.
Ashley was leading Lynn and Jim Foster with David Hathaway.
It was with considerable trepidation that the Eight Diamonds kite by Jørgen Møller Hansen was launched in a fairly confined space but all went well...
The intention was to fly the 1997 Rev 1.5 design kites in close.
The spars had been upgraded and some bow lines had been set but there had not been an opportunity to test fly the kite ahead of Cervia so once again launching the kite was entering into unknown territory.
The kite flew perfectly though it would not have been possible to hand hold it. We had prepared an appropriate sand anchor first thing in the morning.

This was the second time that we have flown the Rev 1.5s alongside the Double Malay.

We flew the Double Malay a second time on Sunday just after 12:30pm and introduced two of the 1997 Rev 1.5 design sails by Jørgen into the picture.
