Exciting to get hands on with this kite, Wednesday 19th February 2025.

The forecast during the week had been promising and on the day there was only a short wait for the light breeze to materialise at about 3mph.

Ashley arrived via Greenwich Park just as the first launch occured.

Jake assisted with the initial launch attempts and then took over the reel.

Ashley did some of the walking as well before also taking the reel.

Once settled on the breeze the kite occasionally topped out with slacked line and bridle.

The spars used today were 'borrowed' from one of the other 3m kites. A new set will be prepared alongside the frame for the 'new' Flare 1988!
